Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant and Help Every Child Thrive!

We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a brand-new school that's passionate about helping every child succeed. This isn't a one-size-fits-all approach; the school is dedicated to providing a bespoke educational experience where every student can truly thrive.

The school currently supports 80 students and is expanding to 100 in the near future. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many also have additional special educational needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, ADHD, and ASD.

What you'll do:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal growth. You'll work closely with a supportive team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individual and group support to students with diverse learning needs.

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  • Implementing strategies to support student's social, emotional, and mental health.

  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop individualised support plans.

  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with experience working with children with SEMH and special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • A commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment.

What's in it for you?

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students. The school provides a supportive and collaborative work environment, along with a competitive daily rate of £85-£90. You'll also have opportunities for professional development and the chance to be part of a passionate and dedicated team.
