We are looking for an experienced occupational therapist to work in our Enhance Treatment Team services department. This is an Onsite role Monday to Friday

You will require a good understanding of how eating disorders impact on individual’s lives and be able to work to promote recovery as defined by the service user. You will bring core skills of an OT using standardised assessment and outcome measures.

There is a strong emphasis on group and individual work focused around social inclusion and recovery. The post holder will be expected to deliver interventions which are contextually relevant and may be carried out in a variety of settings relevant to the service user. The ability to work flexibly is required.

The post holder will be expected to contribute to service development and hold an interest in clinical outcomes and research. You will be encouraged to participate in this as part of your CPD.

To select and apply Occupational Therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the service user in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure.

To manage a caseload as agreed with Head OT

To plan and implement individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with the service user using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals

To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment for service users with multiple needs in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.

To demonstrate and apply a broad level of understanding of the effect of disability and recommend adaptations to the service user’s physical and social environment as needed.

To work with service users in the community in a way which actively promotes their social inclusion an recovery.

To effectively work as a member of the multi-disciplinary

To effectively work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to / implement core decisions with regard to service users care programmes

To undertake the supervision and appraisal of junior staff as delegated by a senior member of staff

To demonstrate the ability to / undertake to initiate, plan and implement the induction, training and education of students and other staff

To actively participate in and be responsible for relevant planning, evaluation and audit of practice, clinical pathways and protocols within service area and corporate OT as required.

Co-ordinate day-to-day activities of junior staff, Technical Instructors and volunteer staff where applicable

To engage in and develop or broaden research skills through involvement in local audit and research projects
