Summary

The role: As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will: Deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Carry out specialist assessments independently for patients with complex neurological conditions. Develop personalised problem lists, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals. Design and implement 24-hour postural management programmes, including specialist seating, positioning, and splinting. Assess and manage increased muscle tone and spasticity. Provide supervision, guidance, and support to therapy assistants and student physiotherapists. Contribute to the teaching and education of relatives, carers, and MDT colleagues. Actively engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering feedback and collaborative input. Produce detailed, comprehensive review reports for patients, families, and commissioners. Foster effective collaboration and communication within the MDT. Safeguard individuals from harm and uphold their human rights.
