Tate are working with a public body that champions and protects England's historic environment in their search for an Accounts Payable Assistant on a temporary basis.

Behind every project, research initiative, and community grant is a team of dedicated professional who keep operations running smoothly.

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Finance team and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient processing of financial transactions.

As our Accounts Payable Assistant, you will:

  • Accurately check and process payment transactions in line with organisational and Customer Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
  • Provide first-point customer response and deliver effective administrative support
  • Process supplier invoices, grants, payment requests, volunteer expense claims, and associated transactions (including BACS rejects, cancelled and uncleared cheques)
  • Follow desk procedures and carry out control checks related to Accounts Payable processing

Skills/experience:

  • A high level of numerical and verbal reasoning
  • Confidence and clarity when communicating with a wide range of people, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • A proactive attitude and ownership of their work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure
