Summary
A wonderful family based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is seeking an After-school Nanny to care for their baby and school-aged child. They are looking for an experienced, caring, and easy-going candidate with a basic understanding of child development. The role involves all standard childcare duties. A driver with their own car and a full driving licence is essential for this position. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: During school term: 7:00 am to 8:30 am (start in Harpenden, AL5 2NJ and school drop off in Wheathampstead AL4 8DJ between 8:05 am to 8:15 am ) and 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm (reverse journey from the morning i.e. school pick up to go back home) - During school holidays: between 1-5 days full time 7:00 am to 6:30 pm
Duties include:
Collecting the child from school and accompanying her to after-school activities, playdates, and appointments
Prioritising the child’s safety, well-being, and development
Engaging her in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as park visits
Encouraging early literacy through regular reading
Assisting with homework and supporting her educational progress
Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to promote structure and development
