Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team of Leisure Assistants. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating a positive experience for others in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

As a Leisure Assistant, you will support the delivery of leisure activities and services, ensuring our visitors have the best possible experience.

Shift Patterns Available:

4 rotas hours available varied across 2 weeks. Working hours can be varied between posts depending on candidate pool availability. Please ensure at interview you know what hours you will be available to work.

Post 1

Week 1: Thursday 17:00-22:00 / Saturday 10:00-15:30

Week 2: Tuesday 16:00-21:00 / Saturday 10:00-15:30

Post 2

Week 1: Monday 16:00-21:00 / Wednesday 13:00-17:00

Week 2: Monday 16:00-21:00 / Wednesday 13:00-17:00

Post 3

Week 1: Friday 14:30-18:30 / Sunday 08:00-15:00

Week 2: Thursday 17:00-22:00 / Friday 14:30-18:30

Post 4

Week 1: Thursday 16:00-21:00 / Sunday 08:00-15:30

Week 2: Thursday 16:00-21:00 / Saturday 10:00-13:00

What You’ll Do:
Provide excellent customer service to all visitors.
Ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Assist in supervising activities and events within the centre.
Set up and pack away equipment as required.
Create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all users.

Requirements

There is a requirement to undertake manual handling on a daily basis. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Responsibilities

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
