Summary
ProMatch is proud to be supporting a leading employee-owned food production business in the Highlands with the appointment of a Packaging & Ingredients Buyer.
This is a key role within the Procurement team, acting as the interface between production and suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of packaging and ingredients across the factory, while also managing a range of non-food contracts including office equipment, waste and utilities.
This opportunity would suit a Purchasing Assistant looking to take the next step in their career, or someone with one to two years of buying or procurement experience eager to grow within a fast-paced, values-led environment.

What you’ll be doing
• Managing all purchasing and scheduling of packaging, ingredients and other materials in line with production demands
• Leading supplier tenders and supporting the development of SLAs and supplier reviews
• Monitoring and reporting on Ingredient Usage Variance (IUV) and Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
• Supporting innovation and product development through market analysis and benchmarking
• Driving systemisation and process improvement across procurement operations
• Deputising for the Procurement Manager and supporting other Buyers as needed
• Collaborating with commercial and NPD teams to align stock levels with promotions and new product launches
• Ensuring quality standards are upheld, including capturing evidence of non-conforming materials
