Step Teachers Manchester is working with a high-performing secondary school in North Manchester to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting September 2025. This role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths (up to GCSE level) and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a well-supported department in a school with strong leadership and a commitment to excellence.



The Role: Maths Teacher - KS3/KS4
- Location: North Manchester.
- Start Date: September 2025.
- Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for a permanent position).
- Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm.
- Pay: Up to £230/day depending on experience (paid directly via PAYE - no umbrella!).
- Progression: Move onto the school's pay scale after week 13.
- Travel: Well-connected via public transport & free onsite parking.

What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Supporting students in achieving their potential, particularly in preparation for GCSEs.
- Working collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and leaders.
- Tracking progress, planning interventions, and contributing to departmental planning.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning across your classes.



Who We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS - essential.
- Proven experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level.
- Confident in planning and delivering lessons that are inclusive and challenging.
- Passionate about making Maths enjoyable and accessible for all learners.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to professional development.

What You'll Need to Apply
- A full CV covering the last 10 years.
- Right to Work in the UK & current proof of address.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Min. of 2 references covering last 2 years (one must be from a school/education setting).
- Your QTS/QTLS certificate.
