Job overview

We’re looking for an Admissions Assistant to be an important part of our friendly team. Key elements of your job will be to:

  • Support the Admissions Officer and team with admissions operations, applicant support, recruitment, marketing, outreach, and event coordination.
  • Maintain accurate applicant data for records, reporting, and recruitment activities, ensuring compliance with university policies.
  • Assist in organising admissions events such as MMIs, widening participation initiatives, and offer holder events.
  • Act as the first point of contact for applicants, schools, and other stakeholders, providing accurate and professional communication.
  • Plan and deliver events including taster days, summer schools, open days, and national admissions activities.
  • Carry out routine administrative tasks to support smooth admissions processes and effective event delivery.

Experience of working in a higher education environment is not essential; we will support you to settle in and excel in the role.

About you

To be a suitable candidate for this position you will have:

  • Excellent attention to detail when handling applicant information.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems.
