The role:

  • As a Senior Support Worker you will support the management team in ensuring the smooth running of the residential services for adults with profound learning disability and complex needs.
  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in accordance with their care plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Support clients in achieving their personal goals and promoting their independence.
  • Lead and supervise a team of support workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular assessments of client needs and update care plans accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable adults.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with families and external professionals.
  • Be aware of and oversee any rotas, monitor staff absence.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Have worked as a Senior Support Worker in a similar setting and ideally hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding adults and relevant legislation.
  • Awareness of Safeguarding Adults.
  • Flexible in your working approach and be able to work weekends and shifts between 8am-22.00am
  • Car Drivers with access to your own vehicle
