Summary

The Role / Key Responsibilities

Control and issue works orders for kitting across all production lines and Mixers
Manage Fine ingredient replenishments
Manage Packaging replenishments
Manage Forklift/PPT pre-shift checks and arrange maintenance for breakdowns
Manage cleaning equipment
Manage safe Knife usage
Manage departmental recycling (Zero to landfill)
Manage delivery schedules and confirm logs with supply chain
Manage FLT battery top up’s and register
Manage all bills and purchase orders for areas with our budget
Manage Departmental Budgets (Repairs & Renewals, H & S Supplies, Cleaning
Daily check of high value stock parts
Process collections and returns to suppliers / customers
Manage, resource and equip staff with relevant PPE
Manage all off stock consumable parts and materials
Write Procedures and SSOW
Train out all Policies, Procedures and SSOW
Managing staff holidays, sickness, resourcing working with the Operations Manager
Managing & maintaining all cleaning schedules
Managing, monitoring & maintaining equipment
Manage and schedule racking inspections and repairs
Collate & scan the POD’s for all deliveries
Notify planning of all short falls of stock (WO)
Manage despatch and direct sales orders
Manage Goods in and all scheduled deliveries (OTIF)
Process KPI reports
Assist with investigating all internal/inbound non-conformances and complaints
Manage and maintain departmental hygiene & H & S standards
Weather Report
Manage and maintain all environmental focuses and drives
Stock take & Routines as required
Audits – Internal/External (GMP)
Staff briefing (Shift by Shift/Weekly/Monthly)
Interviewing prospective new employees
Managing contractor activity, personnel & work permits
Managing Counselling & RTW sessions with staff
Note taking for disciplinary meetings
Manage & Maintain allergen procedures
Put forward cost saving initiatives
Implementation of industry ‘Best Practice”
Maintain & update staff training records and matrix
Implement crossing training to improve flexibility of staff
Pallet Management
SOR Reporting & Investigation
To ensure compliance of the warehouse team in the areas of SHE.
Coordinate a robust shift handover
Effective communication within the department and cross functionally
Support the Production Manager in delivery of required KPI’s
Deliver OTIF the packing and mixing room requirement plan
Management of effective stock control of finished products, WIP and packaging etc, including stock rotation.
Coordination of the site escalation procedure in the event of an emergency or breakdown
Ownership and population of the warehouse data
Management of the hygiene across the warehouse
Management of the PPE to ensure clothing is fit for purpose and available
Ownership and supervision of the warehouse and all movements in/out
Deliverables & Accountabilities

Management and supervision of all day-to-day aspects of pre kitting and warehouse control. All areas safely and hygienically. Resource and shift supervision maintained to ensure production on time, in full, at the correct specification. Effective stock control delivering accurate period end stock counts on all finished products, WIP and packaging s.

Assisting the Production Managers in aspects of Production management to ensure production on time, in full, at the right cost and the correct quality.

Supervision of the production shift teams, coordinating Production/Process activities to ensure adequate staffing levels and quality and yield compliance. Leading the way in Health and safety, Food safety and continuous improvement.

Education & Qualifications

Minimum NVQ Level 2: Desirable

Experience

Previous experience in chemical or food industry in a supervisory capacity: Essential

Previous experience in controlled stock systems: Essential

Previous experience using perpetual inventory methods : Desirable

Previous experience coordinating and entering stock counts: Desirable
