Summary
To be eligible for this programme Applicants will need to meet ALL the below entry criteria: A registered Adult nurse (level 1) with current registration with the NMC; A Bachelors degree with a minimum of 2:2: with a minimum qualification of Diploma in Higher Education with evidence of study at Level 6; At least 6 months post qualification clinical working experience as an adult nurse on the NMC register in the UK; For applicants whom English is not your first language, you must achieve a minimum score of 7.0 overall or equivalent, with not less than 7.0 in the listening, speaking and reading sections and not less than 6.5 in the writing section for the International English Language Test Score (IELTS) at the time of application OR for the Occupational English Test (OET), you must achieve a minimum grade of B overall or equivalent, with not less than a B in listening, reading and speaking and a C+ in writing. The following is the alternative to the IELTS or OET You have completed a pre-registration nurse, midwife or nursing associate programme that was taught and examined in English. During that programme you must have spent at least half of your time interacting with patients, service users, their families and other healthcare professionals, and at least three-quarters of these interactions must have been in English. The London South Bank University will require an Academic reference before the offer is finalised and approved; this should be from the University where you obtained your nursing qualification. Successful applicants will need to complete and pass academic enrolment at LSBU and the Trust recruitment application process, as well as be cleared by OH and DBS at LSBU. Only after the above is complete will the offer be approved, and the place be secured. This is a highly competitive programme with limited places and applicants are advised to ensure they fulfil ALL the entry requirements and accept offers as soon as possible to avoid missing out on a place. If you require a visa to work in the UK then you will be unable to apply to this course unless you can acquire a student visa. Applicants can apply for a student visa, and this should be done early as the offer cannot be approved until confirmed.
