Summary

24.75 hours per week – Term time only plus INSET days (flexible working pattern to be agreed)


Location: Woodley & Farley Hill

An opportunity has arisen within our PE and Outdoor Learning team for a Teacher Assistant to work collaboratively with the PE and class teams to support our pupils to engage in outstanding PE and outdoor learning.
It is desirable that you will have previous experience of working with pupils with special needs and experience of PE, Sports or Outdoor Learning. Qualifications in these areas are also desirable.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to work collaboratively as part of a fun and active team, but is also able to use their initiative. The candidate will need to have a positive approach to supporting pupils to learn, whilst being caring and flexible.

The job will be physically demanding, including setting up and putting away our large trampoline as well as other PE related equipment.
You will support with the delivery of PE lessons, run small group activities and lunchtime clubs, organise and lead offsite sporting and outdoor learning opportunities.


You will have access to excellent professional development centred on teaching strategies for children and young people with special needs and disabilities.
