Summary
To provide support in a holistic manner by assisting, enabling, and maintaining general wellbeing, both in the home and in the community, whilst also helping to maintain dignity and independence.
You will join an established team who provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Personal care needs
Shopping for both personal items and food
Cooking nutritious and healthy meals
Keeping both bathroom and kitchen hygienically clean
Vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and general tidying
Support to access community resources, friends, and family
Assist with meetings with professionals and individuals interested in welfare.
Maintain professional boundaries, and respect for the home environment.
You will be required to follow instruction, support, and adhere to medication/medical regimes as agreed and prescribed by medical professionals/ and managed by the care manager.
To facilitate and support the individual in decision making, promoting choice, involvement, and control.
Ensure the individual’s needs are met through planning and reviewing.
Support the individuals’ participation and accessing community resources, leisure, friends, and family.
Interact and participate with the individual’s development of self-help skills, supporting to him to reach his potential for independence.
A willingness to travel to support the delivery of the individuals needs.
Driver – to use the individual’s own vehicle. Be responsible for reporting any issues or concerns regarding the maintenance of the vehicle to the care manager.
All the above tasks must be completed in a supportive, respectful, enabling, and guiding manner.
Responding to any difficulties a team member may be having, including attending to offer support.
Responsible for ensuring all records including medication are kept up to date.
Responsibility to keep Mum informed of any difficulties.
Responsible for ensuring all team members have everything required to undertake their shifts.

A car driver (Motability car is available)

Healthy and safety:
