Summary

JOB TITLE: Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Oversight Risk Specialist

SALARY: £65,385 - £79,915

LOCATION(S): Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh or Halifax

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of the above offices. Please note we have a focus on growing in the sites listed, so other key LBG locations might not be suitable for this role.

About this opportunity

We're looking for two Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Oversight managers to join us during a period of exciting transformation and growth. You'll support the team in developing a Business Continuity & Operational Resilience centre of excellence in the management of risk, to assist robust risk management in alignment with the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).

Day to day you'll be;

  • Acting as one of the Group's Operational Risk specialists, specifically on business continuity and resilience, building strong relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Supporting the development, implementation and evolution of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience Risk policies and appetite, including tolerances and thresholds. Facilitating the understanding and adherence throughout the organisation, including ongoing management and continuous monitoring.

  • Interpreting new Business Continuity & Operational Resilience risk regulation accurately and adeptly. Forethinking the direction of travel and anticipating the impact of the proposed changes on the Group.

  • Helping shape the policy, appetite and approach around our Group-level Incident Management capability, ensuring regulatory expectations and industry best-practice around Incident Management and Response are reflected in control objectives and oversight.

  • Providing oversight and challenge of each Business Unit Business Continuity & Operational Resilience risk profile, and plays a role in challenging and ensuring appropriate, proportional, and accurate reporting to governance committees.

  • Identifying & assessing emerging & growing risks, ensuring policies and appetite reflect new opportunities or threats.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity, with specific knowledge of relevant regulation (e.g. SS1/21/SYSC 15A).

  • Demonstrates knowledge of relevant laws, regulation, industry standards and established industry leading practices.

  • Experience of contributing to the development of group-level policy and setting risk-appetite, with expertise in continuous monitoring and reporting on group exposure.

  • Ability to support the delivery of the management strategy for complex Financial Services organisations and contribute to the transformation of policies and frameworks to deliver this vision.

  • Strong depth of understanding of the latest Operational Risk frameworks and technology being used across financial and non-financial services.
