About Us:
We are a small but ambitious machining workshop looking to grow our team. With just two machines and a close-knit working environment, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in CNC machining, CAD, and CAM software.
The Role:
We are seeking a Junior CNC Machine Operator to support our machinist and assist in the day-to-day running of the workshop. You will be working alongside one experienced operator full-time, learning the trade in an intimate environment where attention to detail and a genuine interest in mechanical engineering are essential.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning and basic maintenance of machines
Deburring and preparing machined parts
Cutting and preparing raw stock materials
Assisting with CNC machine operation and setups
Supporting general workshop and maintenance tasks when workload is low
Developing knowledge of CNC machining, CAD, and CAM software with guidance
Requirements:
Strong interest in CNC machinery, with evidence of hands-on experience or study in mechanical engineering, CAD, or CAM software
Practical mechanical knowledge (academic or hobby-based accepted)
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
Ability to work as part of a small, supportive team
