Summary
Educato are working on behalf of a primary school in the Stockport area who are looking recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in their SEN unit. You will be working with Key stage 2 aged pupils alongside an SEN Teacher and another 2 SEN TA's. As the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working on a full time basis from September 2025. This is a supply post based on the amount of children in the unit.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside other professionals giving high quality support to the groups of identified pupils at a primary school SEN unit in Stockport.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to:
- Support pupils with Autism
- Experience within a Primary or SEN school
- Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
- Contribute to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
What We're Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
- Sports graduates
- Team Teach is highly desirable
- A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
