The sheer variety of work is a factor that's often mentioned as a big plus by our staff in terms of professional development. While we've achieved a lot there's still much to do so it's the perfect time to be joining us.

The Nutrient Neutrality and Obligations Officer is a new role, and you will have the opportunity to develop, shape and manage our forthcoming Nutrient Neutrality Mitigation and environmental credits scheme, which we have been successful in securing over £2m of Government funding to set up. The credit scheme will unlock development opportunities and the homes which the Borough requires over the next 5 years and beyond.

This role is pivotal in promoting sustainable development, and you will also be responsible for the effective implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of other environmental and planning obligations within the local planning authority including biodiversity net gain (BGN), and Section 106 agreements with a particular emphasis on nutrient neutrality mitigations,

Agile working is applicable for this position however due to the nature of the roles site visits and Office time would be expected.
