Provision of a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service for the ADHD and ASD Service. Liaising with Parents/Carers for Prescription and Medical Review requests. To work collaboratively with other admin team members. All patient records on RIO to be maintained and updated accurately. Help support the setup of appropriate clinics and distribution of work to the ADHD Nurses. Formatting and distributing ASD/ADHD diagnostic reports for parents and schools. It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and that confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Providing day to day support to the Band 4 Administrator, ADHD Nurses, ASD Coordinators and Clinical Lead.

Receive telephone calls from parents/carers and special schools requesting repeat prescriptions, ensuring the ADHD Nurse Specialist has relevant up-to-date notes to write up the prescription and follow the identified local procedures.

Responding to all emails through the generic ADHD or ASD email (net) account and taking appropriate action as required.

Making and receiving telephone calls, both internally and externally, ensuring all messages are taken and relayed accurately to the appropriate member of the Team. Using own judgement to resolve problems arising.

Dealing appropriately with frustrated/angry parents/carers that are still waiting to be seen by the service. Signposting parents/carers where they can seek further support and give suitable nonclinical advice.

Help investigate and resolve any potential complaints that arise with PALS.
