Summary
A lovely family in Chiswick, London, is seeking a Full-time Nanny to provide dedicated care for their charming toddler. They are looking for someone enthusiastic, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with young children. The ideal candidate will respect and share the family’s values and lifestyle, including practices such as Halal cooking. The role will involve all standard childcare duties. Knowledge of Arabic, Malay, Hindi, or Urdu would be an advantage, although English-speaking candidates will also be considered. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, approximately 36 hours per week
Duties include:
Plan and deliver age-appropriate play to support motor, cognitive, and language development
Read books, sing songs, and engage in creative and sensory play
Organise playdates and accompany the child to playgroups
Take the child on outings (parks, museums, libraries, etc.) to provide stimulating experiences
Share daily updates with parents on meals, sleep, play, outings, and developmental milestones
Observe and report any concerns or changes in the child’s behaviour or development
Change nappies and assist with toilet training, promoting good hygiene and independence
Encourage proper handwashing and cleanliness before and after meals or outdoor play
Maintain a safe and secure play and sleep environment
Monitor for signs of illness and notify parents promptly of any symptoms or concerns
Follow consistent daily routines (meals, naps, play) to provide stability and comfort
Support age-appropriate sleep routines, including naps and bedtime preparation
Encourage independence through simple tasks such as tidying toys and learning to dress (e.g. putting on shoes)
