We form part of the HM Precious Metal Group, one of Europe's largest refiners and processors of precious metals. Based in the heart of the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, we are a friendly, well-established but growing business of 280 employees.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented CNC Operative to join our CNC department. You will be responsible for setting up and managing our Mazak and Emco 3-axis turning CNC machines to accurately produce different types of wedding ring profiles. You will be supervising the machines to ensure that operations are being carried out correctly and to make the necessary adjustments as required.
What you’ll need to bring to the show:
- Experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines would be desirable
- Good manual dexterity and eye-to-hand co-ordination, as you will be working with small tolerances and setting tools, with good attention to detail
- The ability to cope with pressure and work to deadlines, and use initiative to work independently
- Team spirit - you’ll need to be prepared to get involved in whatever it takes to get the job done
Due to the nature of the business, a basic DBS will be completed by the employer on offer.
