To help us achieve that, Glasgow Life is looking for UKCC level 2 (or equivalent) Lead Gymnastics Coaches who are qualified in either General or Artistic gymnastics to join our team on a permanent part time basis.

What you need to know

Hours: 4.25hrs to 20hrs per week.

Our positions cover City-wide meaning you could work in any of our venues delivering Gymnastics Lessons; examples of our current vacancies include:

  • Monday 3:45 – 8pm Palace of Art
  • Wednesday 3:45 – 8pm Kelvin Hall
  • Sunday 9 – 4:30pm Kelvin Hall/Palace of Art

Contract type: Permanent

Pay details: We offer a competitive salary ranging from approx. £27,806.24 to £29,875.87 (pro-rata) per year which equates to approx. £15.24 to £16.37 per hour.

Location: We are offering flexible weekend and evening contracts within our purpose-built gymnastics’ academies Glasgow Club Palace of Art and Glasgow Club Kelvin Hall as well as within our satellite venue Glasgow Club Gorbals.

What you’ll do

As a Lead Gymnastics Coach, you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Sports Participation Officer. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring the Glasgow Sport gymnastics programme is a success and will be key in overseeing the day to day running of the programme including mentoring coaching staff, preparing session timetables and utilisations of the Learn 2 software. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference.

If you’re interested in joining us as a Lead Gymnastics Coach, you’ll need:

  • Scottish Gymnastics UKCC level 2 qualification or equivalent in Women’s Artistic or General Gymnastics
  • To be a highly motivated professional and innovative person
  • Have a flexible approach to work and knowledge of coaching within a gymnastics environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To work during our busy periods which are in evenings and weekend.
