JOB TITLE:Salaried General Practitioner REPORTS TO: Clinically to The Partners Administratively to The Practice Management Team HOURS:Between 4 and 6 Session (Days to be agreed) Interview Date:TBC Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Salaried General Practitioner to join our supportive team at Great North Medical Group (GNMG). As a training practice, we are committed to helping registrars, F2s, and student nurses become comfortable and competent members of the healthcare community. You will provide high-quality primary care to our diverse patient population, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Conduct consultations via face-to-face, telephone, and video, ensuring high-quality medical care and patient satisfaction. Clinical Decision-Making: Make independent decisions on patient care, adhering to local and national guidelines. Chronic and Acute Care:Manage long-term conditions and treat acute illnesses, ensuring timely interventions. Preventative Care: Engage in health promotion and disease prevention activities, including screenings and vaccinations. Care Planning: Develop and implement care plans, ensuring continuity and quality of care. Patient Management: Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and referrals, maintaining accurate records. Administrative Duties: Handle referrals, prescriptions, and patient communications efficiently. Extended Hours and On-Call: Participate in extended hours and on-call duties as needed. Quality Improvement: Engage in audits and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to clinical governance. Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and comply with appraisal and revalidation processes. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and carers, recognising different communication needs. Quality Service Delivery: Adhere to GMC regulations, produce accurate patient records, and deliver care based on NICE guidelines. Participate in quality governance, shared learning, and significant event reviews to enhance service delivery.
