Summary

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Part-Time Store Person to join a well-established Security Company

Location: Maidstone, Kent | Part-Time (4 hours/day, 5 days/week)

Salary: £13 Per Hour - £13,520 Per Annum Based on 20 Hour Per Week

We’re looking for a Store Person to play a key role in supporting our growing security company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, and thrives in a well-organised environment.

The Role

As our Store Person, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our stock, equipment, and vehicles are in top shape to support both our field and office-based teams. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll work closely with admin staff and support technicians on the ground.

Key responsibilities include:

• Stock Control & Management: Oversee and manage stock levels, deliveries, returns, and ensure accurate records.
• Equipment Asset Register: Maintain and update the equipment asset register, ensuring all tools and machinery are tracked effectively. Regular auditing and maintenance checks on operational equipment
• Compliance Checks: Conduct regular ladder, PPE, and harness checks (training provided), as well as vehicle checks, MOTs, and maintenance upkeep.
• Inventory Management: Keep a detailed record of stock shortages and spares and ensure the regular update of inventory management systems.
• Vehicle and Maintenance Checks: Ensure that company vehicles are regularly checked for maintenance, MOTs and upkeep and ready for deployment. Carry out van stock checks.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a store, stockroom, or warehouse environment. Experience managing staff is an advantage.
• Technical: A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database management is beneficial.
• Attention to Detail: You must be diligent with record-keeping and highly organised.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate between staff and report to directors efficiently.
• Driving License: Full clean driving license (C1 class vehicle is desirable).
