Summary

An excellent opportunity to join a well-established company as an Apprentice Customer Service Practitioner.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: £15,704 per year (Year 1), rising to £20,800 in Year 2 subject to satisfactory progress and performance.
Location: Royston, SG8
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm

18-month apprenticeship with the opportunity for permanent employment - post-apprenticeship salary: £26,000 per year

About The Role:

The company is hiring a Customer Service Apprentice to join their friendly and fast-paced team within the construction industry. This role offers hands-on experience and structured training, leading to a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner qualification.
You’ll support customers, suppliers, and internal teams by managing enquiries, coordinating processes, and delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities Include:

• Handling customer and supplier enquiries (phone, email, and face-to-face)
• Updating records and maintaining internal systems
• Supporting admin for sales, estimating, and operations teams
• Coordinating orders and following up on delivery status
• Delivering professional, prompt customer service
• Contributing to service improvement processes

Training Details:

• Study is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining online tutor-led sessions with face-to-face support at the employer’s premises
• Apprentices will be supported by a dedicated tutor and have access to structured training throughout the programme
• The apprenticeship concludes with an End-Point Assessment (EPA), during which the learner will demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours to successfully complete the course

Candidate Requirements:

• Great communication and organisation skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Basic IT confidence (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• No experience required – just reliability and enthusiasm
