Summary

Job description:

JOB TITLE: Delivery Driver (2 x 4 hour shifts per week. Hours between 7.30am -12noon on a rota basis. Monday - Saturday)

REPORTING TO: Chief Executive Officer

JOB PURPOSE: This is a broad role which involves a diverse set of skills, abilities and responsibility. To work with a team to providing delivery of bread, rolls and buffets.

EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- Good general education

- Commitment to training and development

- Customer service

- Computer literate

- Sense of Humour

- Flexibility and willingness to work out side job description

Desired:

- Knowledge basic food hygiene

- Mandatory training qualifications e.g. fire safety, first aid, food hygiene, manual handling and health & safety awareness

- Knowledge Learning disability

OTHER

Required:

- Satisfactory police/ disclosure check

- Commitment to the aims and objectives of the Aberdeen Day Project

- A commitment to undertaking training and development as required

- Two satisfactory references

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Training and development:

1. Attend mandatory training courses on or off site as and when required.

2. Check deliveries ,Load van , drop off deliveries , unpack van and trays

3 Work within the aims of the Aberdeen Day Project and related services, and thus demonstrate an understanding and commitment to people with learning disabilities

Health & Safety and Legislation:

5. Abide to the breadmakers health and safety policies and procedures.

6. Report faulty appliances, damaged equipment or any potential hazards.

7. Promote safe working practice within The Aberdeen Day Project sites.

General:

8. Work in a team, contributing to effective team working and deliver information in reviews of service delivery.

9. Promote and ensure the good reputation of Aberdeen Day Project and related sites.

10 .Carry out any other task that may be reasonably assigned to you.

11 Full Current Driving licence required
