Summary
About Us
The Sanctuary Project provides high-quality supported accommodation for young people aged 16–18 as they transition into independence and adulthood. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive and empowering environment where young people can develop life skills, access education and training, and build the foundations for a positive future.
We are also transitioning to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) – this means the organisation will be owned on behalf of its employees, giving staff more influence and a stronger voice in shaping the future of the service.
The Role
We are seeking Support Workers who are passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will:
Build trusting, professional relationships with young people.

Help young people develop independence skills, including budgeting, cooking, health, education and relationships.
Support young people to access services such as education, health, housing, and external agencies.
Encourage positive behaviour, set boundaries and be a consistent role model.
Keep accurate case notes, risk assessments and reports.
Contribute to support planning and multi-agency meetings.
Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.
Resilient, patient and able to stay calm under pressure.
Positive role models with excellent communication skills.
Organised, able to plan support sessions and follow through.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
Flexible to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
Experience in social care, youth work or similar is desirable but not essential, we value the right attitude and commitment. Full training will be provided alongside a full induction.
Safeguarding
The Sanctuary Project is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
Please note: We are not licensed to provide Certificates of Sponsorship, and therefore cannot accept applications that would require visa sponsorship.
What We Offer
Comprehensive induction and ongoing training.
Supportive team environment.
Opportunities for career development.
The chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Interviews to be held: Week commencing 22nd September 2025
Planned start date (with induction week): Monday 20th October 2025
