Summary
- Ability to work under pressure in an ever changing, challenging specialist environment whilst maintaining excellent standards of patient care. - Managing an autonomous caseload, which includes unpredictable work patterns and high levels of concentration on patient assessment, diagnosis, planning and discharge, and the requirement to meet national targets for Emergency Department attendances. - Dealing with difficult situations and people where there can be significant barriers to understanding. - Managing both verbally and physically aggressive patients, relatives and other visitors. - Managing and supporting both patients and relatives in times of distress, occasionally including bereavement. - Dealing with child protection issues.
