Summary
Clinical Responsibilities Take detailed patient medical histories and family health backgrounds Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples for diagnostic testing Carry out vital sign monitoring including blood pressure, pulse, and height measurements Support vaccination programs including seasonal flu immunizations Maintain accurate clinical records and input data into practice management systems Perform simple dressing changes Support the surgery in achieving QOF points, help with long- term condition reviews eg. Diabetic physical checks Administer B12 injections Health Assessment and Screening Evaluate cardiovascular, diabetes, and kidney disease risk factors using established protocols Follow current NHS guidelines for health screening procedures Coordinate follow-up care based on assessment outcomes Collaborate with clinical staff regarding patient results requiring medical review Patient Care Management Identify and contact patients eligible for health screening programs Schedule appointments and manage clinic capacity effectively Handle patient inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality Reduce non-attendance rates through effective patient communication Collect pre-appointment information to optimize consultation time
