Job Summary
Kenect Recruitment are looking for a Sweeper to join our client's teamteam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in designated areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all. This role requires a proactive individual who can operate various cleaning equipment, including HGV2 vehicles, while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- To carry out road sweeping duties around Gloucester city centre.
- Undertake visual daily checks of the vehicle before it is used to ensure that the vehicle is in good working order, including checking oil, water, tyres, lights, and beacons.
- Collect and dispose of debris, litter, and other waste materials from assigned locations.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness standards across all areas.
- Follow safety guidelines while driving and operating machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Operating and maintaining mechanical sweepers to clean streets, roads, and other public areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial driving is a must.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physically fit, capable of lifting and moving materials as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
Hours - Monday - Friday - 06:00 - 15:00
Pay - £16.62p/h
Contract Length: Tis is immediate start and working up to the end of October. This may run further and could lead to a permanent role for the right person.
