Summary
We are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools by delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or those considering a career in teaching. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise classes and ensure pupils remain on task with set work
Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Support pupils with their learning where needed
Follow school policies and procedures at all times
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
Experience working with young people (school or similar setting) desirable
Strong communication and classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.
Confidence to lead a class and engage pupils in learning
Flexible, adaptable, and able to use initiative
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
