An opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant within the Radiology Departments at Swanage hospital.
Swanage Radiology department is a small and friendly team. We are accredited by UKAS. Our priority is offering a safe, quality and patient focused service.
The post holder will be responsible for chaperoning intimate ultrasound examinations; appropriate decontamination of ultrasound equipment; patient care during the ultrasound scan.
This post will be 6 hours per week. The postholder will be expected to be flexible to the needs of the service and assist in covering annual leave/sickness.
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Swanage Radiology department are very proud of our excellent UKAS accreditation record and the post holder will be expected to assist senior staff in ensuring that all standards applicable to UKAS are maintained.
Communication is a vital to the smooth working of such small departments and the post holder will be required to maintain these routes at all times.
The applicant will be required to attend team meetings, attend mandatory training sessions and participate in regular audits as required.
Patient care and assistance during ultrasound scans.
Chaperoning of intimate ultrasound scans.
Cleaning and decontamination of ultrasound equipment.
Excellent communication skills to facilitate patient comfort during examination.
