This is your chance to make a real impact.Join EDF UK and be part of a pioneering team driving innovation and excellence in new nuclear build projects.The OpportunityEDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.As part of the Manufacturing Control team, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring quality and compliance across major nuclear infrastructure projects like Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. You’ll oversee the surveillance of equipment manufacturing, ensuring suppliers meet rigorous standards and deliver with precision.This is a chance to work on high-impact projects that shape the future of UK energy. What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll lead the creation of Surveillance Offers and documentation plans that ensure manufacturing activities meet the highest quality standards. Your work will provide assurance to clients and regulators that nuclear components are produced safely and reliably.You’ll support inspectors with technical guidance, helping them interpret complex requirements and resolve non-conformances. You’ll also review supplier documentation, approve key deliverables, and produce Clearance Notes that highlight any gaps in surveillance activities.Beyond day-to-day operations, you’ll contribute to lessons learned and help shape future manufacturing requirements. Your expertise will be vital in resolving technical challenges and supporting the delivery of equipment to nuclear sites. Who You AreYou’ll bring solid knowledge of manufacturing codes and standards—especially those related to pressure equipment, piping, and steelwork components. Familiarity with ISO 13445, ISO 13480, ISO 1090, and ISO 15614 is essential, along with a general understanding of non-destructive testing methods and surface treatments.Ideally, you’ve worked with manufacturing documentation, welding procedures, and have experience in the nuclear sector.
