Summary

Groundworker – Drainage

Location: Sturminster Newton, Dorset

Salary: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (DOE and training)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - finish (hours vary depending on workload)

Contract Type: Temporary ongoing (potential to become permanent for the right candidate)

Start Date: Immediate

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Groundworker to join a leading drainage company based in Sturminster Newton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident in groundworks and wants long-term, consistent work. You’ll be assisting with drainage projects across Somerset, Dorset, and occasionally Wiltshire.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Performing groundworks related to drainage projects
- Driving company vehicles to and from sites
- Assisting with site preparation, excavation, and reinstatement
- Adhering to health and safety standards at all times

The Ideal Candidate

- Previous experience in groundworks is highly desirable
- CSCS card – beneficial but not essential
- Driving licence essential (must be confident driving company vans)
- Physically fit and willing to work in all weather conditions
- Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
