Salary is from £12.21 per hour with night, weekend and bank holiday pay enhancement.

What does this Care Assistant job involve?

Hours of Work:36 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00

The key object of a support worker is to ensure that the physical, emotional and psychological need of the residents are met.

Main Duties:

• Provide personal care and support to residents with diverse needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
• Deliver care in line with individual support plans using a person-centred, respectful approach.
• Promote residents’ independence, motivation, and well-being.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and mobility.
• Prepare food and drinks, considering dietary, cultural, and personal preferences.
• Perform light household tasks such as cleaning and laundry as required.
• Use manual handling equipment safely and maintain care of property and equipment.
• Build positive relationships with residents and team members through effective communication and companionship.
• Ensure a safe, comfortable living environment while respecting residents’ rights and choices.

Recording & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records and regularly review care plans.
• Uphold confidentiality and report concerns, complaints, or signs of abuse to management promptly.
