Summary
Cleansing Operative
Our client is looking for a hardworking, reliable and committed individual to join their friendly team as a Temporary Cleansing Operative during the Dartmouth Regatta, 27th – 30th August 2025. This is a varied outdoor role where no two days are the same. You will play a vital part in keeping Dartmouth and its surrounding areas clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors during one of its busiest events.
Key Responsibilities:
Litter picking and general cleansing duties
Emptying and moving bins
Ensuring public facilities remain clean, tidy, and replenished
Reporting any issues or maintenance requirements to your supervisor
Acting as a visible ambassador for the Dartmouth area by providing assistance and information to visitors when required
Skills & Experience
A full UK driver’s licence preferred
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
Reliable, with good timekeeping and the ability to work independently
Strong communication skills and a polite, respectful manner when dealing with the public
Good knowledge of the Dartmouth area (desirable but not essential)
