Summary

Our role

To enable us to fully deliver our projects we are looking for an experienced Lead Grid & Primary Design Engineer to work Client side on projects from initial concept and feasibility through to procurement specification, construction and commissioning. You will be working on critical grid and primary substation projects on private Networks with our customers.

What we’re looking for

- HNC level qualification in a relevant subject;
- Expertise in primary substation design (11kV to 132 kV including plant specification) in a lead role;
- Awareness and understanding of Power Transformer Design and procurement;
- Experience with electrical engineering design and practices and have good knowledge of the electricity distribution business in a lead role;
- Experience of CDM regulations relating to utility projects;
- Experience in planning, design and commissioning of 132kV substation projects and 132kV private customer connections;
- Working knowledge and experience of Etap and DigSilent (or similar software);
- A full UK driving licence and willing to travel where required.
