• Provide subject matter expertise (SME) across complex Cisco WAN/LAN, servers, storage, and voice solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor, making recommendations on new solutions and working with sales teams where required.
• Support customer-facing discussions, translating technical challenges into clear business impacts.
Security Systems Support (RSS Team Scope)
• Maintain and support enterprise CCTV systems (NiceVision, Bosch Video Management) across BA campuses and UK sites.
• Support and administer the Access Control system (AC2000 Airport Edition), including 2000+ hardware assets.
• Manage and maintain the Traka Asset Management system, covering lockers, key cabinets, and 4000+ users.
• Ensure proactive monitoring, incident response, user management, system audits, and decommissioning activities.
Incident & Service Management
• Triage and manage incident queues in ServiceNow, ensuring SLA adherence (typically 4-hour response).
• Act as change approver for airport-related changes impacting CCTV, Access Control, or Asset Management systems.
• Liaise with onsite engineering and CLIENT technical teams to ensure smooth resolution of incidents and changes.
Project Management & Delivery
• Engage in end-to-end project delivery: site surveys, scope generation, vendor engagement, quotations, PO processes, and implementation oversight.
• Manage third-party suppliers and vendors, ensuring quality delivery aligned to customer requirements.
• Represent the RSS team in stakeholder meetings, weekly progress updates, and technical reviews.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with BA/IAG stakeholders, security teams, and partner vendors.
• Provide technical documentation, status reports, and recommendations to customers and management.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in a Senior Specialist/L3 Engineer role with focus on complex network and security systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
o Cisco WAN/LAN solutions (configurable and complex builds)
o Servers and Storage solutions
o Large-scale voice solutions (Nortel, Mitel, Avaya, CS1000, ISDX, Meridian)
o Unified testing and troubleshooting methods
• Working knowledge of:
o CCTV systems (NiceVision, Bosch Video Management)
o Access Control systems (AC2000 Airport Edition or equivalent)
o Asset Management systems (Traka or similar)
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and consultative skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
• Project management experience in IT/security-related projects.
• Previous exposure to airport or aviation security systems.
• Vendor and third-party management experience.
• Relevant certifications (Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Microsoft, Mitel/Avaya, or equivalent).
