We’re looking for a Head Chef to join a luxury care home for older adults. This modern home provides nursing and dementia care in a bright, supportive environment and is proud to serve freshly prepared, nutritious meals that support residents’ health and wellbeing.
As Head Chef, you’ll have the chance to combine your creativity and leadership skills with a role that makes a real difference. You’ll design seasonal menus, lead a supportive kitchen team, and ensure every meal brings comfort and enjoyment to our residents.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a care home
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, allergens, and dietary needs for older adults
- A passion for flavourful, freshly cooked meals that feel like home
- Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- Relevant Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certifications

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the care home kitchen
- Plan, prepare, and serve wholesome meals tailored to older adults’ dietary needs
- Create nutritious, home-style menus that support residents living with dementia
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, portion control, and hygiene standards
- Manage budgets and order supplies effectively
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with legislation
- Collaborate with care staff to deliver person-centred dining experiences
- Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff
