Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering both acute and long-term care, health promotion, and patient education. You will have the opportunity to use and develop a wide range of clinical skills while contributing to the overall philosophy, strategy, and success of the practice. What You Will Do Deliver effective, evidence-based nursing care to patients across all age groups Work closely with colleagues to ensure the best possible patient outcomes Promote health education, lifestyle advice, and disease prevention initiatives Support the management of long-term conditions and empower patients in self-care Maintain professional accountability while working independently within agreed clinical policies Key Clinical Skills You will have the opportunity to use a wide variety of clinical skills, including: INR management ECGs, venepuncture, urine testing, and blood pressure monitoring Wound care, dressings, and ear syringing Routine and childhood immunisations, travel health advice, and vaccinations Women's health, including cervical screening, contraception, menopause & sexual health support Lifestyle advice: smoking cessation, weight management, safe alcohol consumption, cardiovascular risk assessment Chronic disease management: Asthma, COPD (including spirometry), diabetes reviews, hypertension, weight management Your Professional Role Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently Provide advice, recommend treatment, and refer patients where necessary Educate and support patients and carers in managing long-term conditions Keep accurate, timely, and professional clinical records Contribute to the smooth running of the practice, including stock management and vaccine ordering Provide telephone triage and advice where appropriate Training & Development We actively encourage ongoing professional development. You'll: Stay up to date with all mandatory training, including anaphylaxis Be supported in continuing professional education and staff development reviews Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior nursing staff Participate in clinical supervision Why Join Us?
