Summary
To undertake comprehensive assessments and formulating diagnoses for patients with complex or multiple conditions. To analyse findings to set realistic treatment goals and timescales in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team. To ensure patient understanding, consent, and engagement through clear communication, negotiation, and motivation. To select and delivering appropriate treatment techniques such as therapeutic handling, electrotherapy, respiratory care, and exercise-based interventions. To monitor, evaluating, and adjusting treatment programmes to ensure progress and timely, safe discharge planning. To identify inappropriate referrals and directing patients to the most suitable services when physiotherapy is not appropriate.
