Are you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career in Quantity Surveying? Do you aspire to work with a well-established company in the construction industry, known for its expertise in retaining walls and gabion systems?
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Derby (DE13). This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working directly with the Commercial Director, supporting large-scale infrastructure projects while independently managing smaller ones from start to finish.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting in the commercial management of major retaining wall and gabion projects
- Taking ownership of smaller projects, managing the full project lifecycle
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Monitoring project progress, variations, and valuations
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and financial procedures
- Learning from experienced professionals in a supportive environment
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Derby
- Interest in civil engineering and structural landscaping is a plus
