Summary

Site Manager- 37 hours per week. 52 Weeks per year. Are you someone who enjoys solving problems, working with your hands, and making sure everything runs smoothly?We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Site Manager to join our team to support the children of Braustone. With over 400 pupils and staff on site each day, we need someone who can stay one step ahead and keep things running like clockwork. Your RoleIn this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day care, maintenance, and presentation of the school site. You’ll: • Be a visible presence around the site, spotting issues early and solving them quickly to keep the school safe, functional, and looking its best.
• Work indoors and out—handling repairs, maintenance, groundskeeping, basic decorating, and responding to emergencies.
• Do what you can in-house to reduce contractor costs, while making the most of local authority support and building strong relationships to get the best outcomes for the school.
• Lead on health and safety checks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring, and risk assessments.
• Work closely with the Business Manager to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
• As a key holder, ensure the school is opened and closed on time each day, using support from your team to keep the site secure and running smoothly.What We’re Looking ForYou’ll bring: • Experience in a trade such as carpentry, plumbing, or general building maintenance. This may be from experience in a facilities management role or from a trade.
• A proactive, flexible mindset and the ability to think creatively to find cost-effective solutions.
• Confidence in working independently and making decisions.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
