Based at 57 Strathmore Avenue, Forfar.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and resilient sessional social care officers to work across our residential community, with a specific need for our short breaks home for Children with Disabilities based at 57 Strathmore Avenue Forfar.

This job is workstyle 1 - Fixed. In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.
Strathmore Centre is a short breaks residential home which has a specialised remit focusing on supporting children and young people with significant and complex disabilities. A significant investment has been made in the service and we are expanding our remit to include community outreach support as well as overnight short breaks.
We are looking for individuals with resilience who have the right personal skills and experience to support our young people. We are seeking individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills.
Please note that it is essential to have a full drivers license and access to a car, including business insurance.
Our services run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the working pattern supports this.
The hourly rate includes payment for holidays. This is paid as a percentage of your hourly rate for the job and will be separately itemised on your pay slip. Successful applicants will be placed on our casual worker register and engaged to work as and when required depending on service need.
