Home, a place where you belong

As a Senior Occupational Therapist in our clinical team, you’ll play a big part in helping people with complex needs live more independent, fulfilling lives. This isn’t about quick fixes or tick-box care. It’s about supporting people to grow their confidence, skills, and independence in ways that really matter to them.

You’ll be joining a team that blends health, housing and care to create long-term change, and you’ll see the difference your work makes every single day.

Typical day as our Senior Occupational Therapist

  • You’ll carry out in-depth assessments and interventions, drawing on your expertise to create practical plans that help customers build skills and independence.
  • You’ll provide clinical guidance and advice to colleagues, helping support teams feel confident in delivering safe and effective day-to-day care.
  • You’ll design and deliver personalised interventions, including positive behaviour support plans, always keeping the customer’s goals, strengths and voice at the centre.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with other professionals including nurses, behavioural specialists and fellow occupational therapists, working as one joined-up team.
  • You’ll balance your own caseload across different services, from Ofsted-registered supported accommodation to other settings across the region.
  • You’ll lead service improvements and contribute to practice development, making sure our model of care stays safe, innovative and truly customer focused.

We can't sponsor you due to certificate limits. We review this regularly.

You bring

  • You bring professional registration as an HCPC Occupational Therapist, with strong experience working alongside people with complex needs such as learning disabilities, autism, or mental health conditions.
  • You bring the ability to carry out thorough assessments and develop evidence-based interventions, translating clinical expertise into real-life outcomes for customers.
  • You bring a person-centred and strengths-based approach, seeing beyond difficulties to help people recognise their skills, goals and potential.
  • You bring confidence in risk assessment and management, with the skill to balance safety while promoting independence and positive risk-taking.
  • You bring excellent communication skills, working with empathy and clarity to build trust with customers, families, carers and colleagues across disciplines.
  • You bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset, always seeking to improve practice, share knowledge and champion high-quality occupational therapy.
