This exciting role, offered as a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover, leads the On-Trade IFT Wholesale team for the North of England, managing 4 direct reports and overseeing 21 Wholesalers across the UK. The primary objective is to reignite our wholesale partnerships and create stronger alignment with Budweiser Brewing Group (BBG), driving increased market share in the region. The role requires strong leadership, commercial expertise, strategic thinking, and extensive On-Trade experience. The successful candidate will be an ambassador for BBG and a strategic partner to the Northern Wholesale Ledger.
The Role:
The National Account Manager (Wholesale) is responsible for leading and developing the Key Account Management (KAM) team while ensuring delivery of all commercial objectives. This includes managing Business Performance Reviews (BPRs), and other commercial routines alongside governing the team’s input for sales forecasting and performance tools. The role is highly strategic and requires excellent relationship-building skills to engage with senior stakeholders across the Northern Wholesale Ledger, maximising commercial opportunities and driving market growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the team to deliver key commercial metrics, including Volume, Market Share, Top and Bottom line P&L performance alongside customer investments.
Build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with key wholesale counterparts across the ledger.
Develop and upskill the Key Account Management (KAM) team to ensure consistent delivery of results.
Monitor and report performance through Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), including progress versus budget and updates on Risks & Opportunities (R&Os).
Drive engagement and connectivity between the Northern BBG IFT Field Team and wholesale partners.
Negotiate and secure Joint Business Plans (JBP) and define one-year plans (1YP) that balance short- and long-term objectives for BBG and customers.
Promote a growth mindset, focusing on both market share growth and commercial returns.
