Summary

Are you a people person with a passion for heritage, culture, and great experiences? We’re looking for an outstanding Visitor Host to join our small, friendly team at the Museum of Chelmsford.

The Visitor Host is a first point of contact for visitors so confidence, communication skills and a warm, approachable nature is a must. The post holder will help every visitor feel welcome, appreciated, and excited to explore all we have to offer.

This is a varied and hands-on role. Key responsibilities will include preparing the museum for opening, events, and private hires. Greeting visitors and helping them get the most out of their visit, promoting our membership scheme and its benefits, handling shop sales and supporting retail operations, responding to general enquiries, and sharing your knowledge of our exhibitions, galleries, and activities.

Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 9.15 am to 5.15 pm (may
occasionally need to work evenings or Bank Holidays).
