Summary
About the role:
To be responsible for Social Care law matters in connection with Childcare and Adult Services. Social Care Lawyer with a particular interest in debt recovery work associated with adult social care charges and recouping monetary costs within the legal team
About you:
To undertake, provide and assist in the management of Social Care legal
services to the Council, specifically debt recovery in connection with these service areas;
To represent the Council in legal and quasi legal proceedings in negotiations and generally in its relations with outside bodies and the public.
To ensure robust legal management systems are in place and that all legal proceedings comply with the relevant legislative time scales.
To actively assist in the case and file management systems adopted by the Legal Services department and ensure cases are kept up to date.
To ensure the effective and efficient provision of Social Care Legal advice and assistance
What you will do:

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
