Summary

We recruiting for an experienced personal assistant to join R's care team.

Must have a full drivers license & access to own vehicle
Must have experience working in Adult Social Care
We currently do not offer sponsorships.

My name is R and I am 32 years old and live in my own property in Edgbaston, Birmingham currently supported by my team of care staff 24/7.

I am looking for new members to join my team of Personal Assistants who work one to one in supporting me with all aspects of my daily life. I am looking for someone who has good range of communication skills, patient, creative and are good at thinking outside the box. Ideally, you will have experience of working one to one within supported living with individuals who have learning/physical disabilities however, this is not required as excellent training is required with support from an experienced team.

It is important that my care team are passionate about supporting me to become more independent in developing new relationships and pushing past my boundaries. This will enable me to achieve more than I thought possible. This requires you to work in collaboration with other Health Professionals and my support network to make this a reality. It is important that my care staff are able and willing to drive my vehicle to my appointment & activities.

I enjoy going out for a coffee, my favourite being Costa, baking, going out, art, music, playing cards and singing. I am a big Leicester Tigers fan and enjoy going to watch the rugby and spending time with family and friends.

People who know me, describe me as funny, kind, generous, resilient and as a person who knows what she wants out of life. And at times I can be demanding.

Here at Woodford Homecare, we are recruiting an additional team member on behalf of R to enable her to continue in living a fulfilling life within her own home.

Full training in regulated activities provided along with The Care Certificate & a shadowing period in which you will work closely with experience members of the team.
