Summary
A busy professional parent is seeking a reliable and experienced nanny-housekeeper to provide support at home with two young children. This is a part-time position, working Tuesday to Thursday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, with potential for increased hours. The role can also be taken as live-in
About the Family
The family includes a 3-year-old daughter who attends a local nursery and a 5-year-old son who has special educational needs (SEN), including global speech and language delays. He attends a mainstream school with a dedicated SEND department. The household is pet-free.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with morning routines and school preparation
Drive the eldest child to school
Collect both children from nursery and school in the afternoon
Carry out general housekeeping duties during the day
Prepare nutritious family meals
Maintain tidiness in the children’s bedrooms
Provide full-day care for the eldest child during school holidays
Requirements
Proven experience supporting children with SEN
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude
Ability to work independently and maintain a calm, nurturing environment
Additional Information
The role may be extended to four days per week, depending on the candidate’s availability
There is flexibility for the position to instead be a wraparound care arrangement if preferred
If taking the role as live-in, the nanny will have her own room with a single bed and shared family bathroom. Salary is £12.25 - £13ph gross for live-in.
